Led by Francisco Pineda, the Kittanning Union downed the Shelbyville Reds, 8-4. Pineda was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Union. The save was credited to Keith McCoy, his 1st. The Reds, now 7-18, continue their inauspicious start.

Pineda had a key at-bat for Kittanning early in the game. With a runner on 3rd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave Kittanning an early 2-0 lead.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Pineda told the Kittanning Times.
