The Stratford Cosmos picked up a win at The Lockar Room, knocking off the Brooklyn Bats, 3-2. Starting pitcher Raimondo Amberezzio was a big reason why. Steve Reed, now 3-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 1. The Cosmos, now 17-7, have been sizzling early on.

John Hester was the walk-off hero for Stratford. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cosmos center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Hester told the Stratford Daily.
