Big Day at the Plate for Hernández Not Enough for BigStars
The Toronto Red Birds overcame a good performance by Austin left fielder Wilson Hernández to knock off Austin, 9-7, at LaBatt's Blue Park. Hernández went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Gonzalo Anaya. The Red Birds, now 14-6, have hit the ground running this season.

Luigi Larini hit a 2-run double off Juan Guerrero in the bottom of the second, which put the Red Birds in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Larini had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Toronto manager Jose R Herrera.
