Streaking BigStars Win Another One, 3-1
|
Behind an impressive start by Donovan Straughan, Austin beat Cooperstown, 3-1. Charles Parsons finished to wrap up his 8th save. The BigStars, now 14-3, have played inspired baseball.
Anastasio Medina, the Austin third baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 2-0, BigStars. For the game, Medina went 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Chipper Jones.
