4-0 Loss Extends Vancouver Skid
|
The Omaha Bandits went home winners at Lynx Park, thanks in large part to starter Terence Woestenberg. Woestenberg stifled the Vancouver Lynx, enabling Omaha to grab the 4-0 win. Woestenberg went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-0. Vancouver, at 0-15, has had a dismal start to the season.
Omaha used a timely hit from Ed Estrada to get the win. The center fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bandits on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"This losing is getting old," said Vancouver manager Dan Boone.
