Austin catcher Shusaku Takabayashi helped his team beat the Shelbyville Reds, 8-4. Takabayashi went 3 for 4 for the BigStars. The BigStars raised their record to 11-3.

The BigStars got a big at-bat from second baseman Bob Jones. For the game, Jones went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Austin a 4-1 lead.
