Brand A's Squelch Camels Offense in Shutout Win
|
Daniel starter Kevin Smith pitched well against the Cooperstown Camels at VBL's Best Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-0. With the win, the Brand A's have a record of 80-52.
In the bottom of the fifth, Daniel second baseman Tony Cashmann had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and one out, Cashmann stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 1-0, Daniel. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Daniel manager Pat Watkins said.
