BigStars Suffer 4-2 Loss to Teddys
|
The D.C. Teddys bested the Austin BigStars by a score of 4-2, with first baseman Bob Hoyles getting the main credit. On the day, Hoyles was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Teddys. D.C. is now 52-79. Austin is 77-54.
Hoyles had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Toby Church, he banged a run-scoring double to right-center, giving the Teddys a 3-2 lead. It was the 1st double of the year for Hoyles.
"Bob is still learning," said Teddys manager António Román. "The sky's the limit for him."
