Pacifica Pantalones left-hander Diego Velázquez pitched a good game against the Bugaboo Creek Caribou at Frontierland Park, leading his team to victory, 5-3. Picking up the save was Jeff McGinnity. He's now 9 for 11 in save chances. The first-place Pantalones, at 89-39, now lead their division by 10½ games.

Pacifica took a 5-3 lead on Cristo Hernández's 16th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hernández hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Bugaboo Creek pitcher Carlos Jiménez visibly frustrated.
