The South Side Enforcers had to overcome a fine effort from Border City pitcher George Connolly to grab a narrow 4-2 win at Legion Field. Connolly went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. Goro Endo earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 6-1. Lúcio Gonzáles closed it out for his 38th save.

South Side used a well-timed hit by Steven McCall to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Enforcers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," McCall told the South Side Daily. "And padding the South Side win column."

South Side leads the Anderson League Sabathia Division by 8½ games.
