The Death Valley Buzzards had to overcome a big game from Puerto Rico first baseman Juan Vázquez to leave Hell's Gate with a victory. And they did, winning 8-7. Vázquez went 5 for 5 with a double and 4 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Death Valley now owns a record of 59-67.

Germán Ramírez was the walk-off hero for Death Valley. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Buzzards left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was electric at the end," Ramírez said.
