Union Edge Spiders, 4-3
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Kittanning Union and Cleveland Spiders.
The Kittanning Union picked up a win at Cy Young Stadium, knocking off the Cleveland Spiders, 4-3. Starting pitcher Luis Anguiana played a key role in the triumph. In 7.2 innings, Anguiana surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs.
Bill Miller, the 21-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Miller contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Kittanning up, 4-3.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Anguiana told the Kittanning Observer.
The win elevated the Union to 67-58.
