Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Fernando González, the Hartford Whalers defeated the Oklahoma City Cyclones, 9-6. González was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Whalers. Hartford is now riding a 3-game win streak.
