Dynamites Prevail, 4-2, Over Stratford
|
The Napoleon Dynamites got a stellar effort from pitcher Dave LaChance, helping Napoleon score a win over the visiting Stratford Cosmos, 4-2. LaChance, the winner, moves to 11-5. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up no walks. Eduardo Franco got the save, his 8th in 15 chances.
The Dynamites got a big at-bat from second baseman Mark Jackson. For the game, Jackson was 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 24th double of the season gave Napoleon a 2-1 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Jackson said after the game.
The Dynamites go to 48-62, putting them 6th in the Nied League Webb Division.
