Bandits Topple Buzzards with Late Rally
Raúl Salazar did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Death Valley Buzzards from losing, 3-2, to the Omaha Bandits at Hell's Gate. Salazar went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. Omaha reliever Emílio Papías picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Josh Hader was saddled with the loss. Javier Rosa collected save number 3.

Omaha used a timely hit from Mario González to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bandits ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said González.

Omaha has 3 straight wins, Death Valley 4 straight losses.
