The Stratford Cosmos weathered an outstanding game by Napoleon left fielder Jason Heller to topple the Dynamites, 9-8. Heller went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Raimondo Amberezzio, the winner, goes to 12-5. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts over 6 innings. Rick Cederberg earned his 10th save in 12 chances.

Stratford used the clutch hitting of Bob Letson to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Cosmos the lead, 4-2. For the game, Letson had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
