The Border City Buck$ grabbed a win, 8-6, over the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Pokey Reddick Park. Border City designated hitter Aleksander Kraja went 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ken van Tiggelen recorded the save for Border City, his 10th of the season. The loss makes Winnipeg 37-58.

Border City used a clutch hit from Fernando Martínez to get the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Buck$ ahead, 8-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning makes the heart grow fonder -- for more winning," said Kraja, cracking a smile.
