Pantalones Win, Curry has 3 hits tonight
|
A 4-RBI performance from left fielder Brad Curry, who is a two-time All-Star, led the Pacifica Pantalones to a win over the Border City Buck$, 9-1. Jeff Shoemaker, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 2 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 9-4. German Marquez, credited with the save, is now 2 for 3 in save opportunities.
In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Curry hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.
Pantalones manager Ángel Soto had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
With the win, Pacifica raised its record to 60-31.
