The Goldeyes grabbed a win, 7-4, at Biscuits Park, overcoming a fine effort from Corpus Christi pitcher Leland Hart. Hart went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. Juan Benítez, credited with the win, is now 2-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. The Goldeyes are now 39-43, while the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits fall to 33-49.

The outcome might have been different for Winnipeg, had it not been for Brennan Minthorn, the 24-year old second baseman . Minthorn stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Winnipeg up, 6-4. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Corpus Christi manager Mike Weaver. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
