The South Side Enforcers took Bugaboo Creek pitcher Bernard Jones's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Enforcer Grounds. The final score had South Side getting past the Caribou, 5-2. Jones went 6 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 7. The winner in relief was Rob Bowling. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 3-0. South Side, at 55-27, is 6½ games up in the Anderson League Sabathia Division.

South Side took a 3-2 lead on Steven McCall's 21st double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which McCall hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Bugaboo Creek pitcher Jerry Burrell visibly frustrated.

"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," McCall told the South Side Gazette.
