Steve Lowry never let the BigStars get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his sinker, to pitch the Copperheads to a win, 2-0. The winning pitcher was Lowry, now 10-4. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Cumberland now has a record of 43-34 with the win.

Cumberland shortstop Tim Aubin contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Copperheads ahead, 2-0.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Aubin. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
