South Side and Cumberland duked it out and the Enforcers came out victorious.

The South Side Enforcers overcame a fine performance by Cumberland left fielder Miguel Sánchez to defeat the Copperheads, 6-3, at John Lee Pettimore Field. Sánchez hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Picking up the win was José Torres. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 2. Lúcio Gonzáles earned the save, his 22nd.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Steven McCall? The South Side catcher had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Enforcers on top, 5-3. For the game, McCall had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," McCall said after the game.

South Side improves to 46-25 with the win. They lead their division by 6 games.
