A good performance from catcher Willson Contreras helped the Death Valley Buzzards defeat the Pacifica Pantalones, 11-6. Contreras went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Buzzards. Bartolo Rodríguez closed it out for his 2nd save. This win makes it 8 in a row for Death Valley.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Bartolo Rodríguez didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Pacifica trailing 6-5, Rodríguez retired Tynan O'Brien to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Rodríguez, with a wink.
