The Cooperstown Camels did just enough to sneak past the Stratford Cosmos, 3-2, at The Lockar Room. Cooperstown pitcher John Fletcher, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner in relief was Ignacio Reyes. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 7-4. The losing streak for Stratford has now reached 7 games.

Cooperstown used the timely hitting of Roberto Sánchez to capture the win. The second baseman socked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Camels ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"This team is real focused right now," said Cooperstown manager Wily Mo Pena.
